“Headspace - The Thoughts of Mr. Newman”

When the wealthy architect Neumann dies, he leaves his only son a banal gift wrapped in yellowed paper, without any commentary.
All of a sudden, young Neumann’s life seems emotionally cold and empty, like one of the houses his father built. He decides to explore it – from the basement to the roof – but his house resists the inspection he has undertaken.
He meets a lost child, has a serious accident and has strange dreams. His cat goes missing, while Lea, his childhood friend, reappears…
Things are getting more and more mysterious. What happened back then? And what is happening to him right now?

Lukas Benjamin Engel takes you on a psychological journey into the subconscious, into the dynamics of the mind and into the enigmatic interim between self-perception and world perception…

The novel was illustrated by Ariane Königshof.
