SINGING
In addition to classical theater, I have always worked in musical theater or appeared on stage as a singer for a wide variety of genres. From nu metal and classic or alternative rock, to jazz standards and Kunstlied, to musical ballads and chanson. In 2018 I founded the chanson duo “Fishing for Angels” with my pianist Benjamin Fischer and our programm “Leerwurf” has been starring on many stages throughout Germany.

“Fishing for Angels” is a chanson duo founded in 2018 by the actor Lukas Benjamin Engel and the pianist Benjamin Fischer. They are among the finalists of the Bundesgesangswettbewerb in the chanson category.
With their new program “Leerwurf” you will start looking for the meaning and nonsense of our hectic times.
They cast their fishing rods and reel in comedy, melancholy and political controviersies of our time.
Waiting for something to change, but what exactly?
Is the next low tide coming?
Is the next flood coming?
